Wind Technology Testing Center Tour
YPE Boston is organizing a tour of the MassCEC Wind Turbine Testing Center in Charlestown! The WTTC offers the latest wind turbine blade testing and prototype development methodologies to help the wind industry deploy the next generation of offshore and land-based wind turbine technologies. The hour-long tour is limited to 20 people. Fill the sign-up form to lock in your spot! We look forward to seeing you there!

Attendees need to have valid photo ID to enter the port area
Attendees must wear close-toed shoes
Attendees must complete the tour agreement form in advance of the tour.
Hard hats and safety glasses will be provided by the WTTC
Visitors will need to surrender their ID with security at 100 Terminal Street
No visitor is allowed to walk or bike from the security gate to the WTTC

MassCEC Wind Technology Testing Center Tour

MassCEC's WTTC offers a full suite of certification tests for turbine blades. Since opening in 2011, Wind Technology Testing Center (WTTC) has run 35 distinct blade testing programs entailing hundreds of individual blade tests.
Attendance is capped at 25 people, so sign up as soon as you can!

Constellation Energy Mystic Generating Station Tour
Join us and Constellation Energy in June for a tour of the Mystic Generating Station. Located right in the heart of Everett, Mystic Generating Station is a 1,413 MW natural gas-fueled electric generation facility.
Please have an ID available in order to get through security. Wear Sturdy Shoes (no open toes, flats, etc.) and dress accordingly for the temperature/weather as it can still be cold inside the Station. On-campus parking is available.

MWRA Deer Island Tour
Join YPE Boston and the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) for a tour of the Deer Island Wastewater Treatment Plant. The plant serves 43 communities in the Boston area, making it the second largest in the country. We'll learn about the history of the plant, the iconic egg-shaped anaerobic digesters that you see when flying into Logan Airport, and the energy future of the MWRA. IMPORTANT NOTE: Guests are asked to provide a completed authorization form and provide a copy of their driver’s license at least one week before the tour. International guests are asked to provide a copy of their passport, along with the completed form at least two weeks prior to the tour. Please submit your completed items here.
